09 Jan The Ordinary Moments #2
I’ve had a really lovely week this week, which I think is unusual for most people at this time of year. Most Januarys for the last few years have been the same as everyone else, back to work and the reality of working 9-5 after a Christmas break. This week however has been my first week working from home for three days and spending two days a week with Izzy and Eve.
Monday was an inset day at school so I had the three girls and we went off to the Lady Lever Ary Gallery in the morning and spent the afternoon scooting. I really enjoyed the art gallery and even got chance to see an exhibition I’d been after seeing for a while.
On Tuesday we spent the day at Chester Zoo and I noticed lots of things that were the Same but Different about Izzy and Eve my identical twins. Wednesday was my first full day at home without the girls working on my new projects. I ran my first 10k of the year and was amazed and how quickly the day disappeared before I had to head off to collect the girls and take them to a soft play birthday party at 4. I did however find out I had been featured in the Liverpool Echo as one of 6 top local bloggers to follow. It definitely made my day. On Thursday we met my parents at Cheshire Ice Cream Farm and whilst it was absolutely freezing we had a lovely day. I also had some more fab news and found out I had finally broken into the top 100 bloggers in the Tots 100 list, sneaking in at 99, but in there nonetheless! On arriving back home I got more good news and read a lovely article by First Choice Travel who said Mini Travellers was one of 6 Top Family Travel blogs to follow in 2016. I managed another 10k on Friday (it nearly killed me, not so sure about my half marathon plans) and then settled down to some work. The day ended with some more good news as Expedia listed Mini Travellers in their 30 top bloggers of 2015 and listed Mini Travellers as their top family blogger. I was beyond thrilled. I went out to celebrate with a good friend at Gusto and we put the world to rights (I’m sure you’re all thinking it feels a little better right now!)

We all slobbed about on Saturday morning until hubby took the girls to the park in the afternoon on their scooters and I got some time with a coffee, chocolate from the girls selection box and time to write some blog posts!
I appreciate parts of this post are a little braggy, but I am just so incredibly proud of how Mini Travellers is growing and it feels like it justifies my decision to change from lawyer to blogger and change my definition of all.
So those are my Ordinary Moments for this week, although some of them have been pretty special!
